The Indian motorcycle is growing by multiple folds, all thanks to the domestic and international brands offering the best of motorcycles. Well, the market wasn’t like this always. The adventure market, which is still picking up the pace, has been getting new and improved motorcycles. Take the example of Hero Xpulse 210, Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, KTM Adventure 390, Suzuki VStorm, and others. The market that we see today has explored the potential because of the early day introduction by Hero in 2008.
All thanks to the Hero Impulse, which was introduced in 2008 when the two-wheeler market was growing. The bike, though, did not perform as expected, but taking the lesson from it, Hero has made its comeback with an improvised branding, the Hero Xpulse 200.
Hero introduced the revolution for adventure sports bikes in India on May 1, 2019. The bike was powered by a 199 cc air-cooled engine, offering great value for money and exceptional performance away from the tarmac, which the customers were seeking. The Xpulse became one of the go-to motorcycles for beginners and intermediate-level riders, who prefer off-road adventures. Not only just for off-road lovers, but the bike also offered great versatility for customization as well.
In March 2021, sales saw a huge incline, with an 84% increase. Even in the later years, it was enormous in March 2024. The company shared a growth of 324% in sales as compared to 2023. Now, with increasing sales and a growing market size, the company has stepped in with more advanced and customer-oriented motorcycles, which will revolutionize the market for entry-level adventure bikes.
All-new Hero Xpulse 210
After the great market opportunity and the exceptional love for the 4v 200 cc model, the company has worked on the flaws of the Xpulse to make it the ideal off-roader. The new 210 cc with 4V DOHC liquid-cooled engine produces 20.7 Nm torque @7250 rpm. The power figure has also improved as the bike now produces 24.5 bhp @9250 rpm. Well, the previous version felt lagging when it was taken on the highways, due to less power and the 5-speed gearbox.

Now, with the update, Hero has also added a 6-speed transmission with an Assist and Slipper clutch. Uff! Getting exactly what the customers wanted. Not only this, but the Xpulse 210 has also gotten a great upgrade in terms of design and technical features.
Hero Xpulse 210 notable changes
The Xpulse 200 has been in the market since 2019. Though the 4V version was introduced in 2023, in terms of design and tech, there were minor changes only.
