Denim

The X440 Denim variant is the most affordable bike of the HD. It comes in a Mustard colour scheme with the single-tone option with stickers on the tank instead of the 3D logo. The major drawback of this variant is that it comes with spoked wheels along with tube tyres.

The Denim variant is priced at 2.29 lakh ex-showroom.

Harley Davidson X440 Vivid

Vivid

The 20,000 higher priced variant i.e., Vivid comes with alloy wheels with tubeless tyres which will result in an easier puncture fix. It comes in dual-tone colours with Metallic Thick Red and Metallic Dark Silver options. The logo and badging compared to the Denim variant are pretty decent.

The Vivid variant of X440 is priced at 2.49 lakh ex-showroom.

Harley Davidson X440 S

S

Now comes the most aesthetic among all the variants, X440 S. The bike comes in a Denim Black colour scheme with all black finish and a 3D logo and badges. This variant has additional features like LTE connectivity, remote immobilisation and geo-fencing.

The costliest amongst all the variants yet one of the most affordable Harley Davidson bikes. The S variant is priced at 2.69 lakh ex-showroom.

Harley Davidson In India

Harley Davidson is among the most premium motorcycle brands across the globe. The lineup of HD bikes has been on the higher end always. Affordability has always been a road blocker for Harley Davidson in India. Considering which HD collaborated with the most successful two-wheeler manufacturer brand in India i.e., Hero.

“We started this partnership with Hero MotoCorp in 2020 and we are launching our first collaboration now with the X440. We want to really successfully launch it in India and get a good chunk of the premium segment with this motorcycle which fits right into the strategy that is launched in 2020-2021, which is selectively expanding into new categories with Harley Davidson”, Jochen Zeitz, chairman and CEO at Harley Davidson said.

The 350cc-500cc motorcycle industry according to estimates is expected to grow 15% in FY24. While the constant efforts from the competitor’s brands and Monopoly of Royal Enfield in the segment have led the brand to collaborate and enter the segment.

With the X440 in the market, it will be a sure competitor of the Royal Enfield and Bajaj-Triumph.
The Hero-Harley X440 will be sold at Hero MotoCorp dealerships along with other Harley dealerships.

“There are hundreds of thousands of customers out there who would want to buy a Harley Davidson, but Harley Davidson so far has been out of their reach, out of their pockets now. It is going to be affordable for them. So, we do expect fairly large numbers to come in for this particular product”, Munjal said in an interview.
